Allison McNulty

Greetings everyone! Thank you for visiting my page! I am here for you if you are looking for a passionate, educated, and innovative nutrition professional. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), and I hold these credentials with great pride. I obtained my Master of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island, which I completed concurrently with my dietetic internship. I studied at Framingham State University for my Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, with a Chemistry minor. Throughout my college career, I was endlessly fascinated with the science of food and nutrition. My first career as a RDN was as the clinical dietitian at an inpatient psychiatric facility in Vermont. This experience guided me deeper into the field of nutrition, emphasizing my deep empathy for others and understanding of the importance of proper nutrition. I discovered a passion for nourishment of the body and mind to ease a multitude of chronic illnesses. This role encompassed working with patients of all ages, backgrounds, and nutrition status. I gained thorough experience working with individuals with eating disorders, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, malnutrition, food allergies, and a vast array of other illnesses. My understanding for nutrition runs deeper into human nutrition science as well. During my Master's courses, I completed an in-depth narrative literature review studying a vegetarian diet for chronic kidney disease. As the focus of my dietetic internship, I concentrated my studies on critical care nutrition. This consisted of complex cases including tube-feeding, intravenous feeding, and various coexisting conditions. I'm always looking to dive deeper and learn more! Outside of my career, I nurture many interests in my personal life as well! It's hard to go a couple days without an after work hike or yoga session. Deep breaths and fresh air are very therapeutic and grounding for me. I love diffusing essential oils and creating new blends, particularly with a couple drops of Jasmine. Clearly I love crafting new recipes, typically with some secret chia seeds for omega-3s. Traveling is easily my favorite thing to do when I am able to explore, see new places, and try new food! Please reach out if you find my skillset valuable to enhance your health and lifestyle! Best, Allie, MS, RDN
